about Bernice
Bernice Tang is a Grade 12 AP Student at The Bishop Strachan School in Toronto. She is passionate about advocacy, public health and medical research.
She was inspired to start the organization after feeling the need to take action after learning the news that a family member passed after going into cardiac arrest where there were no bystanders who knew how to help. Further research and story sharing with others made her recognize the growing disparities in emergency health education in the province, which directly affects the health and well-being of Ontarians.
Through her role as Executive Director of the Ontario Saves Lives Campaign (OSL), Bernice hopes to promote youth voices in health advocacy to tackle the many barriers preventing Ontarians from receiving First Aid and CPR/AED Education.
Along with our partnered organization, the Cardiac Arrest Response & Education, she is confident that OSL will make revolutionary strides in health education to improve the quality of life of all Ontarians.
